Redarc to supply electromechanical

Kongsberg Defence Australia has selected Redarc Defence Systems to supply electromechanical components for the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) programme. As Kongsberg’s preferred partner, Redarc will supply components for the programme’s Fire Distribution Centre (FDC) as part of project LAND 19 Phase 7B. LAND 19 Phase 7B is the Australian Government’s Short-Range Ground-Based Air Defence programme. NASAMS has been integrated into the US National Capital Region’s air defence system since 2005. It is a short to medium-range air defence system owned by nine countries. REDARC Defence Account Manager Mike Hartas said: “REDARC Defence Systems is proud to work with Kongsberg on the LAND 19 Phase 7B programme in Australia. “Kongsberg’s approach to Australian industry capability is testament to what can be done when the defence companies and Australian industry want to work together to deliver real capability to the Australian Defence Force.
